Welcome back for another inspiration post at Birch Press Design. Tracey here today with another post about stretching your supplies. When you purchase a set of craft dies, whether single dies or set that has multiple dies, it always feels good to make good use of your dies. If you are anything like me you never seem to have enough birthday cards on hand. In today’s post and video tutorial I am using the Party Balloon craft die to make three birthday cards.
I started off by sponging some ink onto three 4.25″ x 5.5″ panels of Bristol smooth cardstock. I trimmed each of my panels into two pieces because my Big Shot tool is currently waiting to have a bearing replaced and I am using a smaller die cut tool. You of course do not need to trim your panels.
Here is a short video of my process:
I created three card bases each using green gingham paper from Birch Press Design. Then I added a white panel with my birthday sentiment from the Wishing You The Best clear stamp set with foam tape for dimension. I switched the colours of the balloons for each card, making each one unique. I added a few sequins to each card to add a bit of bling.
The foam taped panel added just a bit more dimension.

I love all of these cards. I like to make multiples when possible, especially easier ones. These are easy AND great! TFS!

When I saw it first, I thought I can’t do it. But when I follow the steps one by one they have explained it was so simple and once you done with the balloon making you are almost done. You only have to be careful with the cutting part.
