Hugs | By Eloise Blue

Hi everyone, Eloise here and today I’ll be using the brand new Adi Layer Dies along with the Big Hugs Sugar Script Dies to create a fun layered background card. I’ll be covering the entire background with the Adi Layer Dies and popping up the centre to give more dimension and some more interest to a quite simple background.

To begin my card today, I first pulled out some colours of cardstock. I used a colour scheme from Pinterest and pulled from there. I used a pink, aqua and yellow for my Adi Layers and then a grey and white for the sentiment. I cut each layer of the die from the same colour of cardstock, so then I could layer them all up and get different colour combinations. While I had my die cutting machine out, I cut the Hugs die from the grey and white cardstock, too.

Now that all my layers were cut out, I used some liquid glue to adhere them all together. Once they were put together, I adhered them onto a white card base, cut off the excess and repurposed it around the other edges of my card where there was white space.

When you die cut the Adi Layers, you’ll actually get five pieces. Three main circle pieces and two ‘flower’ shaped pieces that are supposed to go behind your dies to create the full effect. I decided to take those and adhere them over top. So I used some foam tape and adhered them over top of the coordinating Adi Layers.

Lastly, I needed to adhere my Hugs sentiment. I used more foam tape and adhered it onto the centre of my card.

That finished up my card for today, I hope you enjoyed. The video is linked down below if you’d like to watch.

Thanks so much for stopping by. The supplies I used are listed below and I’ll catch you all next time.
