Layered Star Flowers | By Dilay Nacar

Welcome, crafty friends! Dee here today sharing this fresh floral card featuring new dies from the recent Birch Press Design release! If you haven’t already done so, be sure to check out the new line of Contour Layers die sets available now in the shop!

To begin, I cut Layer A of the Petal Triangle twice and adhered them (mirrored) onto a piece of white cardstock that I cut down to 4”x 5.25”.

Next, I cut the Star Flowers Contour Layers twice in each size and layered them together, repeating this step three times. I then die-cut the Fuddled Leaf Branches, assembled them, and adhered them onto the center of the panel, adding the flowers last with foam tape for added dimension.

For the sentiment, I die cut the Handwritten Thanks in gold foil cardstock and adhered it to the card. As a finishing touch, I added embellishments in coordinating colors to the center of each flower!

I hope you liked today’s card! Thanks so much for stopping by, friends!

Celebration Balloons | By Toni M Maddox

Hello, Birch Press fans! Toni here with you today sharing a fun birthday card.

I used the Flora Plate Layer C to impress the card front. I trimmed that down a touch and adhered it to the card base.

The impression is subtle enough not to compete with the diecuts but really adds a little more visual interest. I trimmed the panel a touch to expose the plain white card.

Next I cut out the Floral Balloon, using them as single layers (they’re gorgeous stacked, I assure you!) as well as the Sugar Script Let’s Party out of Memory Box Glitzy Glitter 6×6 Paper.

This is a really simple design suitable for all ages and all genders. Plus, there’s so much glittah!

I hope you’ve been inspired today. Thank for visiting!

    Hugs | by Crystal Komara

Hello crafty friends and Happy Valentine’s Day! Whether you love or hate the holiday, it is still a great reason to make cards (and eat chocolate, of course)! This is Design Team member Crystal Komara here with you today sharing an elegant and more traditional card using the beautiful new Adornment Peony dies.

    Card details:

The base of this A2 sized card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White smooth cardstock. Using the Pinpoint Radial Layer Plate, I die cut that first embossed layer from white cardstock. To create the peonies, I die cut the solid base layer from red cardstock (6″ x 6″ Berry Paper pack) and the top thin outline layer from red foil cardstock (from the Polished Foil Paper Pack). I die cut the solid base layer of the leaves from light green cardstock and the top thin outline layer from darker green cardstock. I used the 6″ x 6″ Lush Green Paper pack. I adhered all the layers together with a fine tip liquid glue.

I die cut the word “hugs” using the Hugs Honey Script dies. I cut the larger shadow bottom layer from black cardstock and top thinner outline from gold glitter cardstock. I adhered both layers together with a fine tip liquid glue and then adhered the entire sentiment over the peonies using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension.

Lastly, I added a couple iridescent round stones for added texture.

I love, love, loooooove how this beautiful card came out and I think I’m going to try it in a few more colors (like yellow and pink) now too! Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!

  • Floral Birthday Balloon | By Allison Frazier

Floral Birthday Balloon | By Allison Frazier

Happy Friday, Everyone! I am so thrilled to be sharing my first card as part of the Design Team. My card features the new Floral Balloon Layer Set and the Birthday Wishes Sugar Script Die set.

I started by cutting a panel of white card stock with the String Art Frame die, which is one of my favorite cover dies. I adhered that to a piece of light gray card stock and then popped that up on a white card base with some foam tape. My card base measures 4.75″ x 6″, which provides a nice 1/4″ margin around the card.

Next, I cut a piece of white card stock with the Floral Balloon Layer A die. I saved several of the little flowers that were cut out and put those aside. I adhered the white balloon onto a pink solid balloon that I made with the Floral Balloon Layer C die. I adhered the layered balloon to my card panel, right over the circular opening of the String Art Frame. I tied a small bow with some black twine and glued that to the bottom of the balloon. I also cut a string of the twine and glued one end of it right under the bow, letting the bottom hang down until I could secure it under my sentiment.

I used the Birthday Wishes Sugar Script Die set to cut the word “birthday” from glossy black card stock. In order to create dimension, I adhered that onto another one that I had cut out of thick white card stock. I also cut two layers of white card stock with the shadow die, adhered those together, and then adhered the black birthday layer on top. I carefully situated my balloon string before adhering the layered birthday sentiment onto the bottom of the card. I heat embossed the smaller sentiment, which comes from the Blooming Spring Clear Stamp Set. To finish my card, I added small black gemstones to the centers of all the flowers on the balloon. I also took three of those little white flowers that I had set aside, scattered them around the balloon and added black gemstones to the centers.

Thank you so much for stopping by to join us. I hope this card put a smile on your face. Wishing you all a crafty day!

    Thanks | by Crystal Komara

Hello Birch Press Design fans! This is Design Team member Crystal Komara here with you today sharing some quick and simple thank you cards in a variety of colors that could be used for nearly any occasion.

Each of these A2 sized cards were made the exact same way, I simply swapped out different color cardstocks to show how the cards look in alternating colors.

The base of each card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. I cut a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of colored cardstock (peach, lime and ocean) and adhered this directly to the card base. Using Layer Plate B of the new Flora Plate Layering dies, I cut three pieces from white cardstock. I die cut the word “thanks” using the Thanks Honey Script dies. I cut the bottom shadow layer from the coordinating color cardstock (peach, lime and ocean) and the top thinner layer from white cardstock. I adhered both layers together using a fine-tip liquid glue. Then I layered the entire sentiment to the card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension.

These cards were very simple to make and came together quickly, making it a great design if you need multiples! Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!

Let’s Party | by Crystal Komara

Let’s paarrrrtayyyyyyy, Birch Press Design friends! Today’s slimline card created by DT member Crystal Komara is a rainbow of fun! This colorful card features the new Let’s Party Sugar Script dies and the Floral Balloon Layer Set.

    Card details:

This slimline card measures 8 1/2″ x 3 1/2″. Slimline cards are designed to fit inside a regular business envelope and require no additional postage. The base of this card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. I also cut a 8 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ piece of the same white cardstock for the first matted layer.

    To create the balloons:

From white cardstock, I die cut 5 balloons using Layer Plate B of the Floral Balloons Layer Set. Then I die cut one each of Layer A in red, orange, yellow, green and blue cardstock. I layered the two together and adhered them vertically down the card in a ROYGBIV rainbow pattern.

To create all the “party” sentiments, I die cut the thicker shadow layer of “party” in red, orange, yellow, green and blue cardstock. I die cut the thinner top layer from rainbow patterned paper and adhered the two layers together with a fine-tip glue. I adhered the words vertically down the card (over the balloons) using 3M foam adhesive. Lastly, I added the word “let’s” created from layering black and white cardstock together and adhered this sentiment to the bottom third of the card.

Vibrant Flora Hello | By Dilay Nacar

Hello and welcome back, friends! Dee here today sharing this fun and vibrant card featuring the new Flora Layer Plate and Big Sugar Script Hello dies!

To begin, I cut the Flora Layer Plate dies (layers A and B only) in white, then layer A once more from a background I created with acrylics sprays. For this, I used Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays in rainbow colors for a quick and easy vibrant background! I then stacked and adhered them together and onto an A2-sized top folding card base.

I die cut the sentiment from the Big Sugar Script Hello in gold glitter cardstock and and the coordinating shadow layer in white, adhered them together then onto the center of the card!

I hope you enjoyed this card and are inspired to create! Thank you so much for joining me today!

    Flora Hello | By Seeka

Hi there and welcome! Seeka here and today I’m sharing a simple card made using a single layer from the Flora Plate layer dies. I really like this Flora Layer B die with its little flowers!

I started off by creating an ink-blended background using three colors of Distress Oxide inks: Abandoned Coral, Dried Marigold, and Wild Honey

Next, I used the Floral Plate Layer B die to cut a piece of white cardstock. I glued the die cut over the background and then set the background aside.

Using the Big Hello Sugar Script dies, I cut the detail “hello” sentiment from coral cardstock and then cut the shadow layer from white cardstock. I adhered the two layers together and then used foam tape to adhere the sentiment to the background.

To finish the card, I added a small sentiment from my stash and then adhered the card front to a card base.

Thank you so much for visiting!

  • Make A Wish | by Crystal Komara

Make A Wish | by Crystal Komara

Hello readers and happy Saturday! I hope your weekend is off to a great start. This is DT member Crystal Komara here with you. The weekends are one of the few times I have to craft, so you’ll most likely find me in my craft room today. I’m so excited to be sharing some of the brand new dies that Birch Press Design has to offer in January! Many of these newly released products focus on birthdays, so my first card using the new Floral Balloon Layer Set and the Make a Wish Sugar Script dies is a fun shaker card. Nothing says let’s celebrate like sparkle and sequins!

    Card details:

The base of this A2 sized card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. Using the Pinpoint Radial Plate, I cut my first layer from white cardstock. This pinpoint die is what you see behind the balloons. I adhered this pinpoint embossed cardstock directly to the card base. I placed approximately 1 tablespoon each of black and raspberry sequins on the pinpoint embossed cardstock. I created a shaker frame using a scalloped rectangle die and a smaller scalloped rectangle die. I lined the back of the frame with clear acetate. I lined the back of the frame with thin strips of 3M foam adhesive, ensuring that every send and seal was covered so no sequins would fall out. I placed the frame directly over the sequins and pressed firmly sealing the edges.

I die cut the words “make a wish” from black cardstock and white cardstock and layered the two together with a fine-tip glue. I put the sentiment aside to save for the final layer.

    Creating the balloons:

For the first (black and white balloon) I used the Floral Balloon Layer Set. I die cut Layer B from black cardstock and layered it over a piece of white cardstock that I trimmed by hand to the same shape. I adhered this balloon directly to the acetate on the front of the card.

For the second balloon (black/pink and white), I also used the Floral Balloon Layer Set. I die cut Layer A from pink glitter cardstock, Layer B from Black cardstock and then again, I layered the balloons over white cardstock and trimmed the white cardstock by hand to form the balloon shape. I adhered this second balloon over the first balloon using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension.

Lastly, I added the “make a wish” sentiment to the card also using 3M foam adhesive.

I hope you like today’s shaker card using some of the NEW Birch Press Design products! Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!

Striped Dazzle Mini Frame | By Dilay Nacar

Hello, friends! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and is ready to ring in the new year! Dee here today sharing a card that features a few of my favorite dies and some colorful stripes! Let’s get started!

To begin, I cut the String Art Frame die and adhered it onto an A2-sized card base. Next, I die cut the Dazzle Mini Frame layers, adhered them together, then adhered 1/8” strips cut from multiple colors of cardstock (trimming off the excess). To finish the panel, I adhered the striped frame over top of the base, covering the circle.

For the sentiment, I die cut the Big Sugar Scrip Hello in white and the shadow in gold and adhered them together then onto the frame.

Thank you so much for joining me today and Happy New Year, everyone!
