Hello! I have a sweet and simple Christmas card for you today. I wanted the Merry Christmas Noted die that I used to really POP, so I first sponged some inks onto regular card stock. I used a sort of bright blue first to cover a larger area, then added two different darker blue inks to add depth, keeping in mind the curve of the sentiment. The inks I use react to water, so I spritzed some water lightly onto the sponged card stock. I let the water sit just long enough to ‘remove’ some of the ink, then dabbed it dry with a paper towel. I love the snowy sky look it made!
The Merry Christmas Noted die was cut out of white glittered card stock – love the sparkle!
I adhered the sponged layer to my card base with a foam adhesive, then adhered the sentiment to the sponged layer also with foam adhesive. I love dimension on my cards, so when they are fairly simple such as this one, I tend to use some type of foam adhesive.
Thank you for stopping by!
