Hello Everyone and Welcome Back!

Today’s project I will be featuring the Crystal Lingo Stamp and Die Set and adding some color using watercolors and watercolor pencils!

Ok as always, let’s get started! I started by stamping my image on to a piece of Bristol card stock measuring 4 in x 9 in. Once stamped I applied a layer of clear embossing powder and heat set the image.

Next, I taped my image down onto my craft matt and grab my watercolors. If you are more comfortable with another type of medium, then grab it! Feel free to use what you want to use to color your piece!

I started to apply my colors onto my paper keeping an area open to create a shape in the design. If you start at an image like this long enough your eyes will show you what is hidden sometimes!

I chose my next color and filed that in… I used my heat tool to set my colors and then used my water color pencils to add even more color and shading!

Time for the sentiment, I stamped my sentiment onto the same card stock used for my image and since it is an outline sentiment, I used an emboss it pen to fill in the letters and then applied clear embossing powder to heat set!

I cut three matts to layer with my image… Below are the measurements of the matts used for a card base measuring 3 ½ in x 8 ½ in.

First (Black) – 3 ½ in x 8 ½ in
Second (Aqua) – 3 ¼ in x 8 ¼ in
Third (Black) – 3 in x 8 in

Hello! Seeka here and today I have a slimline card featuring the Splendor Mini Tile Layer Set and some pretty shades of blue and teal cardstock from the Fresh Aqua 6×6 cardstock pack.

I started off by die cutting each layer of the die set in different shades of cardstock, cutting the bottom layer from a medium teal, the middle layer from white, and the top layer from a light blue. I repeated this two more times to create enough pieces for three tiles.

Next, I stacked and adhered the three layers together to create a tile, and then repeated two more times to complete the other tiles.

Then, I stamped a sentiment from the Awesome Ticker Tape Messages stamp set in black ink onto white cardstock. I trimmed the sentiment into a strip, trimming off the black outline that’s part of the stamp in the process.

To assemble the card, I used glue to adhere the three tiles to a 2.5″ x 7″ white card base and then I adhered the sentiment strip using foam tape.

For additional embellishment, I added self-adhesive Clear Jewels from Memory Box.

Hi there it’s Tracey here today and Happy Friday. I had a chance to play with the Field of Blooms layer die set and I can’t even begin to tell you how many things there is to love about this set!

For today’s card I used Layers A and C of the Field of Blooms die set. I started out by dry embossing Layer C on into an A2 sized piece of white cardstock, two times. Dry embossing gives a similar effect as using an embossing folder, but usually it’s not as sharp of an image. For all intents and purposes this works out just fine because this layer will be at the bottom and you won’t see it.

Using Copic markers I coloured over the image that was embossed so that the colours would show through Layer A which is on top. I didn’t worry about colouring perfectly, in fact my colouring is quite messy, but because it is being covered with Layer A there is no need for perfection. The picture below was my practice piece so that you can see what I mean by messy. I changed the colour scheme on a new embossed panel and realized I didn’t snap a picture until I had glued all the layers together, but this gives you an idea of what I did.

After I finished colouring I set the panel aside. I die cut two of Layer A from white cardstock and then glued the two layers over Layer C. The whole panel was then glued to a top to an A2 top folding card base.

The sentiment is made up of the Big Lingo Type Happy. I cut three of the shadow using white cardstock and glued them together to make the word chunkier then I cut the detail layer from black cardstock. The second line of the sentiment is from the Crystal Lingo clear stamp set. It was white heat embossed on black cardstock and trimmed down.

Happy was glued directly to the card front and the second line was popped up using foam tape. Now the card has both positive and negative dimension. Positive because both lines of the sentiment protrude and negative because the two top layers add negative perspective of the tulips!
