Ombre Butterfly | By Laurie Schmidlin

Hi there friends!  Laurie here with you today, sharing a project featuring several brand new Craft Dies!  Have you seen all of the amazing new products in the Birch Press Design store?  You can see them all HERE.

I combined three new dies to create this card:  Butterfly Garden Plate Layer C, Sparkler Butterfly Layer Set, and Big Thanks Sugar Script.

I absolutely love how so many of the Birch Press Design craft dies are created to layer together but also look great by themselves!  I layered the butterflies with three different colors to create an ombre look.  For the background, I only used one of the Butterfly Garden Plates.

For the sentiment, I used both of the included dies in the Big Thanks Sugar Script die set to create a layered look.  The bottom layer is vellum and the top one I die cut from black cardstock.

I love how quick and easy this card was to create!  Because the dies are so detailed, I wanted to keep my card simple so that they really get to shine.

This card is perfect for mass producing!  While die cutting the first card I decided to keep on going and create a trio, just changing the colors for the butterfly.

I love the pop of color from the butterfly against the white background.  I wanted the sentiment to be bold as well so I chose black cardstock.  To tie in the black a bit more, I added three black rhinestones to each butterfly.
