Hello! Rosemary here on the blog with a fun card featuring the new Block Print Edge Snowman, Bright Snowflakes, and Merry Christmas Dapper Script. Let’s take a look at what I made.

Every year I make Christmas cards for my mom to give the grandchildren and great grandchildren. When I saw the new Block Print Edge Snowman I knew I would be using it to make cards for the great grandchildren.

When I started out I thought I would make the snowman out of glitter cardstock. I even diecut one snowman, the scarf and nose from glitter cardstock, but in the end I decided against it. I decided to use Memory Box woodgrain cardstock for the snowman and Memory Box Yuletide Plaid patterned paper. My mom has three great granddaughters and one great grandson so at first, I thought I would make three snowmen with red scarfs and one with a green scarf. Later I decided to do two red and two green.

As I continued working on the card I decided that I would add some snowflakes using the new Bright Snowflakes. I die cut the snowflakes from more woodgrain cardstock, as well as some vellum. I did keep some sparkle by using orange sparkle cardstock to die cut the nose. I love that little bit of sparkle. For the eyes I simply cut strips of glossy black cardstock and glued it on the back of each snowman.

Since there is subtle gold foiling on the patterned paper I used I decided to use gold foil cardstock to die cut the word portion of the Merry Christmas Dapper Script die. The shadow layer was die cut from the red and green plaids. I also trimmed strips of the red and green patterned paper to add along the edge of each card. To keep the card from having alot of bulk I kept everything to one layer and used glue to adhere everything down. That way my mom can mail them and not need extra postage.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project. I had a lot of fun creating them! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.
