Outwitting Mother Nature

vida red bloom

I live in Seattle, which means it’s sunny here a total of maybe 2 months out of the whole year. The rest of the time it’s rainy and cloudy. So that beautiful garden with sunflowers, tulips, tomatoes, and peas you had in mind has a small window of reality. Now don’t get me wrong, I love it here, just a little more sun would be nice! For my garden’s sake! That’s why I have recently fell in love with terrariums. It’s the perfect way to bring your garden indoor and avoid Mother Nature dampening your fun!

Having greenery in your home isn’t a new idea, however it seems that terrariums have recently become the new home decor hype! These tiny ecosystems are super easy to create and you can customize it to your liking! Not only are they fun to make, but they make for a gorgeous decor in your home.

The great thing about terrariums that you will love, which if you’re anything like my sister who can’t keep a plant alive to save her life, is that the maintenance is minimal. Direct sunlight and an occasional watering is all that is needed.
