Honey Script Holiday Sentiments | by Crystal Komara

Hello readers! Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and hopefully found the time to do something crafty. This is Design Team member Crystal Komara here with you today sharing two cards using the Honey Script Holiday sentiments “Jolly” and “Believe” and the Linear Triangle Die in festive red and green glittery colors!

As much as I like using non-traditional colors for my holiday cards, you can never go wrong with red and green, especially when it is red and green glitter cardstock! Glitter adds so much extra sparkle and cheer!

    Card details:

The base of this A2 sized card was made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. Using Layer C of the Delfina Layering die, I cut this from white cardstock and adhered it to the card as my “background.” I die cut the word “Jolly” from the Jolly Honey Script sentiment die. I die cut the larger shadow from red glitter cardstock and the thinner sentiment from white cardstock. I layered the two words together using a fine tip liquid adhesive and then adhered the sentiment to the card using 3M foam adhesive. I die cut the Linear Triangle die from white cardstock and placed strips of alternating red and green glitter paper behind each stripe. The glitter cardstock was from the Frosted 6 x 6″ paper pack. I then adhered the triangle to the lower right corner of the card. Lastly, I stamped the “ho ho ho” sentiment from the Contempo Christmas Greetings clear stamp set in red ink on white cardstock. I used the coordinating Contempo Christmas Greetings die to cut the sentiment out and adhered it to the card with 3M foam adhesive.

For this second A2 sized card, I followed all the same card instructions as those shown above, I simply swapped out the “jolly” sentiment for a different sentiment “believe” from the Believe Honey Script die.

I hope you have enjoyed these festive cards using lots of glitter cardstock. Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!

  • Stretch Our Supplies – Using 1 Layering Plate! – Autumn Breeze | By Desiree Kuemmerle

Stretch Our Supplies – Using 1 Layering Plate! – Autumn Breeze | By Desiree Kuemmerle

    Hello Everyone and Welcome Back!

We are always looking for new ways to stretch our supplies! I will be working with the Layer B Plate from the Autumn Breeze Layering Die Set and my favorite technique Ink Smooshing!

We are going to start out with getting our panels ready for die cutting. Grab your favorite water reactive dye ink pads! You can decide how you want your panels to look as you add your colors. I chose bright and deep fall colors!

After the panels are dry you want to die cut each panel with your plate keeping your colors separated. I decided to ink around each die cut with vintage photo to add a framed edges to each image.

I then die cut my plate into a tan cardstock and also cut panels that measured 4 ¼ inches x 5 ½ inches. These panels will be the background for my panel.

Using my liquid adhesive I added the tan panel on top of the solid card stock panel and placed my leaves around making sure the colors are scattered around! I used double sided foam squares to adhere my leaves and set them off to the side so a showdown would show behind each leaf!

Simply added a small sentiment from my stash and we are done! With all the die cuts you have these are perfect to create card gift sets!

As always, I hope you enjoyed today’s project… and if you want to see more details just click on the video below and see how these projects come together step by step!

Make sure you stay tuned for more wonderful projects coming soon!

  • Framed Ornaments | by Toni M Maddox

Framed Ornaments | by Toni M Maddox

Hello, BPD fans!  Toni here with you today sharing a couple of cards with glitter and more glitter!

Both of the cards use the Marisol Frames and Ornament Layering Dies. I think it’s brilliant to be able to frame these gorgeous ornaments.

I cut both in white and the red from the Memory Box Glitzy 6×6 Glitter Pad. The card base is from the Memory Box Ocean Blue 6×6 Pad. I love this color combo so much!

As you saw above I created a belly band for the card, embossing the Christmas Mandala sentiment with Gina K Red Hot.

I did wonder about the having space to write a personal message but there’s plenty of room.

For my second card I wanted to use the Marisol Frame adhered to the card front without the interactive element.

I used the Marisol Ornament as a mask and used my Copic Airbrush with BG07 for the center. So so pretty. And easy cleanup: I just threw some 70% isopropyl alcohol onto the die to clean off the Copic and dried it.

I hope you enjoyed today’s cards and have a great rest of your week!

    Flicker Ornament | By Seeka

Hi there, Seeka here and I hope you’re having a great day!

I’ve got a quick an easy card to share today, it features the Flicker Ornament and Flicker Frames dies.

To start, I used the Flicker Frames Layer B die to cut white cardstock and then adhered the two sides of the frame to a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of light blue cardstock.

Next, I used the Flicker Ornament Layer B die to cut a piece of dark pink cardstock. I flicked opaque white paint over the ornament and then adhered it to Layer C, which I cut from white cardstock.

I used foam tape to adhere the ornament to the background and then added little clear jewels over the background and on the ornament.

To finish, I used foam tape to pop up a sentiment from my stash and then I adhered the card front to a card base.

Thank you so much for coming by!

  • Starburst Layers | By Dilay Nacar

Starburst Layers | By Dilay Nacar

Hello, friends! Dee here today to share this fun, geometric hello card!

To begin, I embossed a piece of A2-sized black cardstock with the Memory Box Ringadings 3D embossing folder. Next, I cut the Starburst layer die (layers A, B, and C) twice, in white, and adhered them together, forming two stars.

I cut both stars in half then adhered them around the edge of the black embossed panel. Next, I ink blended a small piece of white cardstock in rainbow order, then cut it with the Big Sugar Script hello die. I die cut the shadow in silver glitter cardstock, adhered it behind the rainbow hello, then adhered the completed sentiment to the card with foam adhesive.

As a finishing touch, I added some iridescent sequins and mounted the card onto a top-folding base. I hope you that enjoyed reading more about how I created this card! Thanks so much for joining me today, friends!

  • Gothic Christmas | by Toni M Maddox

Gothic Christmas | by Toni M Maddox

Hello, BPD fans! Toni here with you today sharing a trio of cards using the Viola Plate Layering Dies. I LOVE this set. I like gothic architecture–all those layers and lines–and this reminds me of that so much. I also read Pillars of the Earth this summer which piqued my interest in the style.

For the first card, I used all 3 layers on a base of Distress Oxide Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio which I had spattered with Copic Opaque White and a bit of water.

I used Memory Box Delicate Pastel Glitter 6×6 Paper for Layer C but kept the rest in white. I sponged the Honey Script Peace outline diecut in Peacock Feathers with just a touch of Salty Ocean at the top in keeping with the base ombre effect.

As I worked on this card I wondered how it would look without using Layer C so that the background would show more. Umm, amazing!

I used Lindy’s Magicals in Saltwater Taffy as well as a bit of Ranger Perfect Pearls to create the delicate pink background. Using only the top two layers of the Viola Plate set is like the best of both worlds–the background is easily seen AND the gothic pattern still remains.

For the final card, I found that the majority of the “bits” of Layer A which I had cut out of the Delicate Pastel Glitter 6×6 Paper remained as a whole (still cut out but within the diecut panel). I’m not one to let good glitter go to waste so I adhered those bits to a leftover hot foil experiment in my stash.

It’s like glittery poinsettias, right?! I cut the panel into a square and used the Christmas Ornament & Labels stamps and die for the sentiment. The lot is mounted on an off white base embossed with a wooden plank pattern. I love that the Viola Plate Layering die set is so versatile!

I hope you were inspired and have a wonderful rest of your day. Thanks for visiting!

  • It’s a Tag, It’s a Card, It’s a Gift All in One! | By Desiree Kuemmerle

    It’s a Tag, It’s a Card, It’s a Gift All in One! | By Desiree Kuemmerle

    Hello Everyone and Welcome Back!

Today let’s dig into out stash and grab those ornament layering dies! I will be featuring the Tinkle and Radiant Ornament die set and even pulled out the Floral Star, just so you can see any layering die will work with this technique. Let’s get started!

As always we are completing our die cutting first! I dug into my scrap pile since I was using colors on one side and a solid color on the other, just to save on card stock!

After my ornaments were together using liquid adhesive, I set those aside to dry and grabbed my kraft card stock to create my tag shape. I cut 6 rectangles measuring 3 ½ inches x 5 ½ inches. I snip one corner and turn it over to the other side so my tag will be even on both sides.

For 3 of the tag shapes, I used my score tool to score a line 1 inch down from the top of the tag and then glued another tag shape without the score together. The score line allows the tag to function like a top folding card!

I used some torn scraps for accenting my tag shapes along one side and used vintage photo ink around the edges…

Grab some twin and ribbon and create your tassel for the top of the tag shape. Make sure you create an ornament hanger and attach that to you ornament first. Then gather the rest of your twine to strong your ornament and tag together!

You see in one project we can create a tag, a card and even make it a gift!

As always, I hope you enjoyed today’s project… and if you want to see more details just click on the video below and see how these projects come together step by step!

Make sure you stay tuned for more wonderful projects coming soon! Have a great day and always remember… Be Creative!

    Marisol Layers | By Seeka

Hello and welcome! Seeka here and today I’m sharing a card featuring the Marisol Frames and Marisol Ornament Layer sets.

To start, I cut the four layers of the ornament from three different cardstock colors. I used a red for the solid layer (which is part of the Ornament Basics die set), a peachy pink for Marisol Layer B, and white for Marisol Layers A and C. I adhered the four layers together and set them aside.

Next, I used the Marisol Frames Layer A die to cut white cardstock. I adhered the two pieces to a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of light pink cardstock and then used foam tape to adhere the ornament.

For the sentiment, I used the Big Joy Sugar Script die set. I cut the sentiment from the same red cardstock as the ornament’s solid layer, and then cut the shadow layer from vellum. I adhered the two layers together and then used foam tape to adhere the sentiment to the ornament.

To finish, I adhered the card front to a card base.

Thank you so much for visiting!

Tranquility Layers | By Dilay Nacar

Welcome back! Dee here today sharing a clean and simple card with lots of white space and a pop of color!

To begin, I added texture to an A2-sized white card base with the Memory Box Ringadings 3D embossing folder. Next, I cut the Tranquility layering dies (frame and circle center) in three different colors: Layer A in yellow, Layer B in hot neon pink, and Layer c in dark pink/purple.

I adhered the frame portion to the center of the embossed panel, then adhered the circle with foam adhesive

Next, I cut the Big Hugs Sugar Script die three times in white then stacked and adhered them together.

To finish, I adhered the stacked hugs to the center of the circle and mounted the card onto an A2-sized, top-folding card base.

Thanks so much for joining me today!

  • Boho Tree | by Toni M Maddox

Boho Tree | by Toni M Maddox

Hello, everyone! Toni here with you today getting sassy for the holidays. Both my cards use the Christmas Mandala stamps and dies.

For the first card, I stamped the tree image onto Copic-friendly cardstock and colored it up with Copics BG49, R43, Y18, and YR09. I then diecut the tree outline from the Memory Box Majestic Hues 6×6 Glitter Pad.

Isn’t that glitter dreamy? I added a few Fairy Jewels as well because why not–bling it on! I stamped the Christmas Mandala sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black and kept the remainder of the card very simple to really showcase that fabulous tree.

Since I had the Christmas Mandala set out, I made a very different second card. I used Catherine Pooler inks as well as Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment Ink to stamp the Joy sentiment onto the card base bokeh-style. I made a few of these since they’re time-consuming to set up but once you do, easy peasy to stamp and off stamp on multiple cards.

I hope you were inspired today and find a bit of time to get crafty. Have a great rest of your day!
