    Hello, Birch Press friends! Today, I am sharing this colorful card featuring the Petal Triangle Layer Set. This color palette is something I have been wanting to try for awhile, but I was a bit apprehensive. I decided that a layering die set would be the perfect way to try it out. And, I’m really happy with the results!

    The first step was to cut all of the triangles. There are 3 layers and four total triangles, so that is a total of 12 triangles to cut out. I used white card stock for Layer C, purple card stock for Layer B, and lavender card stock for Layer A. I then glued the three layers of each triangle together with liquid glue. I mounted the finished triangles onto a 4.25″ square card base that I had made from a dark orange card stock.

    Next, I created three flowers using the Phlox Blooms and Leaves Contour Layers Set. I used the same orange color to create the base of the flower. I cut the detail pieces out of a deep red card stock. The small center pieces were cut from the lavender card stock. I adhered all of those together and set them aside for final assembly.

    I used the Hugs Honey Script Die for my sentiment. I used two layers of white card stock for my shadow layer. I cut the main layer from black glossy card stock. I adhered the sentiment to the center of my card panel. Finally, I arranged the flowers around the sentiment and added a clear fairy jewel to the center of each flower.

    Hello readers and happy Friday to you! I hope you have fun (and creative) things planned for the weekend ahead. This is Design Team member Crystal Komara here with you today sharing this card using the Prime Peony Duo Contour Layers.

    Now, before I get into the details of how I made this card, I want to take a minute to appreciate the intricate WORK and time commitment involved with contour layering dies! If you think you’re just going to throw a card like this together and also juggle cooking dinner, doing a load of towels, tending to a puking cat and watching Friends reruns, oh no, no, no, my friend, that ain’t gonna happen! Contour layering dies take an extreme amount of concentration, patience and precision. I lack all three. At best, I’m spastic in thought, I have the patience of a 5-year old and I’m of the philosophy that “done is better than perfect!!” So, for me, while contour layering dies (when completed) are absolutely gorgeous, the journey getting there is kinda sheer torture.

    But, look at this card, ain’t she a beaut?!

    But, I learned a few helpful tips while making this card I want to share with you to help make your contour layering dies journey less painful. First, we are going to make the peonies using a variety of pink cardstocks.

    1. Don’t be in a rush – contour layering dies take time and if you know this ahead of time, it’s half the battle

    2. Organization – when you die cut the Prime Peony flowers, keep them in organized rows

    2. Follow the Directions (or the provided image) – they really do make sense in how you put the peony layers together!

    *Use a fine tip glue to adhere these intricate tiny layers together.
    *Tip – use a fine tip liquid glue for adhering tiny layers together.
    Die cut the larger word shadow from pink cardstock and the thinner word outline from white cardstock.
    Die cut the Linear Triangle from white cardstock.

    Because I had fully committed myself to making this one card (and not being interrupted by anything else) I found the process went much more smoothly. I love the end result SO much that I now intend to work more with the contour layering dies!

    Welcome, everyone! Dilay here sharing a clean and elegant floral card featuring the new Sprouting Crocus Contour Layer dies! 

    To begin, I die cut two Linear Triangles and adhered them to the top and bottom corners of an A2-sized card base. Next, I die cut the Kinsley Layers layer A in silver glitter cardstock and layers B land C in white, then adhered them together and onto the center of the card base, slightly overlapping the Linear Triangles. 

    Next, I die cut the Sprouting Crocus Contour Layers, ink blended the blooms in purple and pink and the stems in light and dark green, then adhered them together and onto the Kinsley Layers. 

    To finish, I foiled and die cut the Thank You Noted Script in purple foil and adhered it to the top of the card. I hope you enjoyed learning more about today’s card! Thank you so much for joining me!

    Hello, Everyone! If any of you have wished for a birthday greeting that would stretch across a slimline card, then the Birthday Wishes Sugar Script die set is for you! I paired the greeting with the Petal Triangle Layer die set, which also fills up a slimline card when you use it in an unexpected way.

    I started off by creating my slimline card base out of white card stock – it measures 3.5″ x 8.5″. I then started die cutting my triangles. I used each of the layer dies to create four die cuts – Layer A from white card stock, Layer B from peach card stock, and Layer C from mint card stock. I assembled all of these with liquid glue to create four layered triangles. Once assembled, I cut one of the triangles in half.

    I glued the triangles across the top of my card base, flipping the orientation of each one. The triangle that I had cut in half filled in the corners of each side just perfectly. I then cut the birthday wishes greeting, using mint card stock for the shadow and both white and peach card stock for the words. I layered the white words over the peach words, creating a bit of a drop shadow effect, and then glued those onto the mint shadows. I love how this repeated the same layering as the triangles.

    To finish the card, I scattered a few peach butterflies that I made using the new Simple Butterfly Contour Layers set.

    Happy Monday, crafty friends! Dee here today sharing this fresh floral card featuring the Star Flowers dies from the latest Floral Contour Layers collection! 

    I started by cutting Layer A, B, and C of the Petal Triangle dies twice, then adhered them (mirrored) onto a piece of white cardstock that I cut down to 5.5” x 4.25”.

    Next, I cut layers A, B, and C of the Tranquility Layer die (saving the center circle for a future project, then adhered it to the center of the two triangles. 

    I cut the Star Flowers Contour Layer dies twice in yellow cardstock and once in coral. I layered each flower then adhered them together and onto the Tranquility frame. Next, I die-cut leaves from the Dainty Rose and Leaves dies set in shades of teal then adhered them tucked behind the flowers. 

    For the sentiment, I die cut the Handwritten Hugs in gold glitter cardstock and adhered it to the card with foam tape. As a finishing touch, I added embellishments in coordinating colors to the center of each flower!

    Welcome, crafty friends! Dee here today sharing this fresh floral card featuring new dies from the recent Birch Press Design release! If you haven’t already done so, be sure to check out the new line of Contour Layers die sets available now in the shop!

    To begin, I cut Layer A of the Petal Triangle twice and adhered them (mirrored) onto a piece of white cardstock that I cut down to 4”x 5.25”. 

    Next, I cut the Star Flowers Contour Layers twice in each size and layered them together, repeating this step three times. I then die-cut the Fuddled Leaf Branches, assembled them, and adhered them onto the center of the panel, adding the flowers last with foam tape for added dimension. 

    For the sentiment, I die cut the Handwritten Thanks in gold foil cardstock and adhered it to the card. As a finishing touch, I added embellishments in coordinating colors to the center of each flower!

    Hi, friends! Dee here today sharing a fun, clean, and simple Christmas card created with the Linear Triangle die!

    I began by cutting the Linear Triangle die twice in white then multiple times in a few of my favorite colors. I adhered the white pieces to an A2-sized card base, then filled in the spaces by inlaying the strips of the other colors.

    Next, I die cut the two white tree dies from the Christmas Mandala stamp and die set (without stamping them), stacked them and adhered them to the center of the card. For the sentiment, I used the Christmas Ornament and Labels stamp set and die cut it with the coordinating banner die.

    Hello, friends!

    Dee (justcallmedee.com) here, and I am back today with another fall-themed card using some of my favorite dies! This square card features the Linear Triangle and Autumn Breeze Plate dies! Let’s dive right in! 

    First, I trimmed down a piece of white cardstock down to a 4.25” x 4.25” size. Next, I die cut two of the Linear Triangle’s and adhered one to each corner, covering the entire panel. 

    For the leaves, I die cut layer B from Autumn Breeze Layer die set and used only the negative pieces (in this case, the leaves) to ink blend! I blended each pink, orange, and green with small ink dangers and then set them aside to dry.

    Before assembling the leaves, I first die cut the Big Thanks Sugar Script die and shadow in white, then stacked and adhered them together. I die cut it once more in gold and adhered that over the top. 

    To begin assembling, I adhered the ‘thanks’ to the center then added the leaves with foam adhesive.  Finally, I added gold metallic pearls and mounted the card onto a 4.25” x 4.25” top folding card base.

    Hello friends and happy Monday! I hope you all enjoyed a pleasant weekend and hopefully found a little time to do something crafty. This is Crystal Komara here with you today sharing two rainbow themed cards using a variety of products from Birch Press Design. I just love creating with rainbow colors because the end result is always happiness.

    For this first card, I used Layer A of the Lumina Layering Plates. I already had a pre-made rainbow colored alcohol ink background in my stash, so this card came together quite quickly. Gotta love that! I simply adhered the rainbow alcohol ink background to my card base – I use 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. Then I die cut Layer A of the Lumina Layering Plates from white cardstock. I adhered the intricate die over the alcohol ink background.

    I die cut the word Hello using the Big Hello dies. I die cut the shadow background from black cardstock and the top thinner layer from white cardstock. I adhered both layers together with a Tombow Dot Runner and then I adhered both layers to the card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension. Using the Ticker Tape stamp set, I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and fussy cut the sentiment strip out. I adhered the sentiment below the “hello” dies using 3M foam adhesive.

    For this next card, I used the Linear Triangle die and lots of colored cardstock strips in various bright colors to keep in line with my rainbow theme.

    My card base is 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. I also die cut the first 5 1/4″ x 4″ mat from white cardstock. I die cut the Linear Triangle from white cardstock and adhered thin strips of colored paper behind the lines. I placed the completed triangle in the lower righthand corner of my card. I die cut the large “thanks” die from black cardstock and from a piece of pre-made alcohol ink cardstock. I layered the two together with a Tombow Dot Runner and placed the large sentiment in the center of my card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension. Using the Ticker Tape stamp set, I stamped the sentiment “you inspired kindness” in Versamark ink on black cardstock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I fussy cut this sentiment and adhered it below the large “thanks” using 3M foam adhesive.

    Hello, friends!

    Dilay here and today, I’m sharing an unconventional (but super fun) way to use the brand new Linear Triangle die! The moment I saw this die, I envisioned a card that incorporated it with paper weaving, and this is what I created!

    To begin, I picked out a few of my favorite cardstock colors and die cut them using the Linear Triangle die. I did the same with white cardstock, then using a simple paper weaving technique, I weaved the colored cardstock strips through the white triangle.

    While weaving, I made sure to keep the strips evenly spaced and straight and once completely woven, I used glue to secure the ends of the strip to the white triangle.

    After allowing it to dry, I trimmed off the overhang then adhered the triangles onto an A2-sized panel using thin foam adhesive.

    For the sentiment, I die cut the Big Friend Sugar Script Die, twice in white cardstock and once in gold then die cut the shadow die in heavyweight vellum. I stacked all of the layers together then adhered them to the center of the panel with liquid glue. 

    For the sub-sentiment, I used the ‘I miss your face’ stamp from the new Crystal Lingo clear stamp set, heat embossing it in gold then adhering it under the main sentiment with a foam square.
