Hello crafty friends! This is Design Team member Crystal Komara here with you today sharing the first of a few fall themed pumpkin cards that I have made featuring the Adornment Pumpkin Set.
The Adornment Pumpkin Layer Set is one of my go-to products for fall cards. I love the large size of the layering pumpkin. Plus, it comes together easily with only two dies – a solid inside layer and a thin outline layer. For this card, I combined it with a variety of other products from Birch Press Design to include:
~Phlox Blooms and Leaves Contour Layers
Card details:
There is a lot to this card, so let’s break it down:
I know at first glance that a lot of these intricate layered cards can seem intimating, but all it really entails is a LOT of die cutting. My little tip* – I don’t even count or measure as I’m die cutting, I just keep cutting until it seems like I have a lot. Any extra pieces can be used on the inside or saved for another card!
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!

Hello fall friends! This is Design Team member Crystal Komara here to inspire you today! I have been sharing a lot of detailed intricate die cut cards lately, so today I thought I would keep my card a little more simple. I know that those intricate contour dies can be intimidating to some (as they were to me at first), but Birch Press Design makes so many gorgeous products, that you can cater the level of detail to your own personal taste.
Card details:
The base of this A2 sized card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White smooth cardstock. I cut a 5 1/4 x 4″ piece of Kraft cardstock and adhered it directly to the card base. Then, using Layer Plate B of the Flora Plate Layer Set, I die cut that from Kraft cardstock and adhered it directly to the previous Kraft layer (so it’s kind of see through).
I die cut the base of Adornment Pumpkin from plaid cardstock from the Gladiola paper pack by Memory Box Company (a sister company of Birch Press Design). I LOVE their paper packs, they are all stunning. I cut the outline of the Adornment pumpkin from white cardstock. I layered the two together using a fine-tip liquid glue before adhering the pumpkin to the card with 3M foam adhesive for dimension.
I die cut a bunch of leaves using the Tiny Tufts Leaves and Flowers contour set. I die cut these leaves in both a dark brown and gold glitter cardstock. I adhered the leaves to the top stem of the pumpkin. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment “forever grateful” from the Brush Sentiment clear stamp set. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink on dark brown cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder. I then used an oval punch to punch out the sentiment. I adhered the sentiment to the pumpkin using 3M foam adhesive.
Fall is one of my favorite seasons to make cards for. I promise you will be seeing lots more ways to use this Adornment Pumpkin in the very near future!
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!

Hello Birch Press Design readers, this is DT member Crystal Komara here to share a fun Halloween themed card with you. Hopefully it will remind you of candy corn, which are the colors that I was inspired to use on the pumpkin itself!
Card details:
The base of this A2 sized card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. I cut a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of black cardstock that I ran through my Big Shot with the 3D Blooming Embossing folder from Memory Box Company (a sister company to BPD).
Using the Adornment Pumpkin dies, I die cut both the outer shadow and inner intricate frame from white cardstock. Then I ink blended Squeezed Lemonade and Dried Marigold Distress Oxide ink onto the pumpkin. I splattered black acrylic paint all over the pumpkin to “grunge it up”.
I die cut the pumpkin stem from brown cardstock and the two leaves from an olive green cardstock. I adhered the pumpkin to the card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension. Lastly, I added the “boo” sentiment also with 3M foam adhesive.
I love how this card turned out with a candy corn colored pumpkin! It’s fun for Halloween without being terrifyingly spooky! Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day.

Hello friends! This is DT member Crystal Komara here with you today with what just might be my new favorite card ever that I’ve designed for Birch Press Design. Now, I’ll admit, I was initially hesitant to use the contour dies, becuase oh-so-much die cutting, but I promise, the end result is always SOOooo worth the work!!
Card details:
The base of this A2 sized card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. I cu ta 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of black cardstock and dry embossed it using the Blooming 3D Embossing Folder from Memory Box Co, a sister company of Birch Press Design. This is my go-to floral embossing folder, it’s so elegant.
Then I just began die cutting lots and lots of the Oval Leaves contour dies in yellow, orange and gold cardstock. I mismatched up the layers, so that I layered yellow with orange and rust with gold. There was no method to this matching up madness.
Lastly, I flicked some gold acrylic paint onto the entire image and I love how this effect came out! It added a bit of grunge, but also a bit of sparkle!
I love this card so much that I want to try re-creating it in other color palettes too, so be sure to check back in regularly to see what myself and the rest of the Design Team are creating to inspire you!

Hello Birch Press Design fans! This is DT member Crystal Komara here with you today sharing some fall themed cards using the Classic Sentimental Wreath stamp set and coordinating dies.
I created all three of these A2 sized cards the exact same way, I simply alternated some of the background papers and ink colors. All of the beautiful plaid background papers are from the Madras Plaid Coral 6″ x 6″ paper pack from Memory Box Co, a sister-organization of Birch Press Design.
The base of each A2 sized card was made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. I then cut a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of the plaid paper and adhered it directly to the card base. I die cut a rectangular piece of white cardstock and stamped my sentiment at the bottom in orange, brown or olive ink. All of the sentiments came from the same Classic Sentimental Wreath stamp set.
I heat embossed the leaves of the wreath with gold embossing powder and then used the coordinating die to cut the wreath out. I adhered the wreath to the card using Scotch 3M adhesive for added dimension. I tied a little bit of gold baker’s twine to the corner of each wreath for added texture. Lastly, I added a couple clear rhinestones for sparkle.
I hope you have enjoyed these cards and are inspired to create some of your own using this Classic Sentimental Wreath stamp set, or any of the other wonderful products from Birch Press Design!
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!

Hello Birch Press Design readers! Happy September, and welcome to the beginning of fall, my favorite time of the year. This is Design Team member Crystal Komara here with you today sharing a unique way to use the Autumn Breeze Layer Plate.
The base of this A2 sized card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. I cut a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of the same white cardstock and ran it through my Big Shot using the Memory Box Blooming 3D embossing folder. I adhered this to the card base. I cut a 5 1/2″ x 1″ strip of decorative Madras Plaid coral paper for the bottom of the card. I cut a 5 1/2″ x 1/2″ strip of gold glitter paper above the plaid paper for contrast.
Using Layer Plate B of the Autumn Breeze Layering Plates, I ran the plate through my Big Shot multiple using white cardstock, burgundy cardstock, rust cardstock and the same Madras Coral plaid cardstock. Using the stitched leaf cutout pieces only, I adhered them in a line across the center of the card.
I stamped the sentiment “you inspire kindness” in cherry ink on white cardstock. This stamp is from the Awesome Ticker Tape clear stamp set. I adhered the sentiment to the card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension.
Ooh, I just can’t wait to create more fall themed cards. I’m here for all the cozy sweater vibes and yes, even the PSL (pumpkin spiced lattes) too! ; )
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!

Happy Harvest! These caramel apples were inspired by my visit to a nearby home boutique. I was reminded that it is “caramel apple season,” and I could not resist making these using the Apple a Day die set!
The Maxwell Layer A die is so versatile, and was used to create the base of the card.
There are three varieties here: Green apple with chocolate over caramel, classic red caramel apple, and a fun zombie caramel apple.
Because there are three sizes of dies in the set, there are a lot of different variations that could be made. I used the mid-sized apple which fit perfectly inside the frame. Embossing added some texture to the frame, as well.
The video below shows how I made each design ~ they are simple to make in a large batch, so everyone on the list can receive one! (The cards themselves are so fast; it’s the drying time that takes the most time.)
I hope you enjoy the video, and also caramel apple season! Have a great day!
Since turning the calendar a page, I have become obsessed with fall. What is there not to love? Everything from the fashion to the sweet smells of pumpkin pie makes me so so happy! I want to wear warm, cozy sweaters all the time, deep burgundy lipstick everyday, and am already planning my Thanksgiving feast I am having at my place next month. I have to stop myself from stopping and grabbing a pumpkin spiced lattee during my morning commutes. One every once in a while is fine, but everday? I need to slow down. But I LOVE the fall time!
Ok, so this is how obsessed I’ve been getting. Birch Press has these adorable fall themed cards that I’ve been in love with! And who writes cards in the fall? Christmas time, absolutely! But Halloween cards? Thanksgiving cards? Well, this girl!
I mean how can you resist these? These fun, creative cards will truly capture the essence of fall! I encourage you to get into the autum spririt and send a note to a loved one with these special cards!
