    Eloquent Butterflies | By Seeka

    Hello! Seeka here and today I’m sharing a bright and summery birthday card featuring the new Eloquent Butterfly layer die.

    I started off by using the Eloquent Butterfly Layer A die and the base butterfly layer from the Butterfly Basics die set to cut a set of wings for each of two butterflies.

    Next, I sprayed the two base layers with Salvaged Patina and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Sprays. Using foam blending tools, I sponged on color from the coordinating ink pads onto the the two detail layers.

    Then, I cut two butterfly bodies from light gray cardstock using a die from the same Butterfly Basics die set.

    I assembled each of the butterflies using glue dots to adhere the wing layers together (this allows the layers to separate from each other, for dimension), and liquid glue to adhere the body.

    For the background, I used a blending brush to blend a yellow/orange dye ink onto a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of white cardstock. I concentrated the color at the bottom left of the panel and let it fade to white as I neared the top right. At the top right, I stamped a sentiment from the Classic Sentimental Wreath stamp set.

    To assemble the card, I adhered the butterflies with just a couple of glue dots and then adhered the card front to a card base.

    Monochromatic Torus Rings | by Crystal Komara

    Hello friends and happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. This is Crystal Komara here with you today sharing two cards using the Torus Ring Die by Birch Press Design in monochromatic colors to create some cheerful greeting cards. I’ll admit that I didn’t love this geometric shaped die initially, but after creating these cards, I’m now giving it a second chance!

    For this first card, I used the Ocean Blues Paper Pack and Twinkling Jewel paper pack to create a monochromatic blue color palette.

    The base of this A2 sized card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. I die cut just Layer Plate A from the Viola Layering Plates out of white cardstock and adhered it directly to my card base using Lineco ph bookbinding glue, my go-to liquid adhesive.

    I die cue the Torus Ring outline from white cardstock. Using the second small die in the Torus Ring set, I die cut various pieces of blue paper that I adhered behind the white frame. I adhered the entire Torus Ring to the card with 3M foam adhesive for added dimension. For the sentiment I used the Big Hello Sugar Script die. This is a two-piece layering word die that creates a shadowlike effect. I die cut the large base layer from white cardstock and the top layer from blue cardstock. I adhered both layers together with liquid glue and then adhered the entire sentiment to the card using 3M foam adhesive.

    I added the word “hello friend” from the Ticker Tape stamp set. I stamped the sentiment in blue ink and fussy cut the block outline. I adhered this sentiment below the word “hello” with 3M foam adhesive.

    For the second card, I used all of the same steps as the first, but I changed my colors to a pink monochromatic look using the Berry Red Paper Pack and the Graceful Garden Glitter Pad.

    I die cut the Torus Ring outline from white cardstock. Using the second small die in the Torus Ring set, I die cut various pieces of pink paper that I adhered behind the white frame. I adhered the entire Torus Ring to the card with 3M foam adhesive for added dimension. For the sentiment I used the Big Hugs Sugar Script die. I die cut the large base layer from white cardstock and the top layer from pink cardstock. I adhered both layers together with liquid glue and then adhered the entire sentiment to the card using 3M foam adhesive.

    I added the word “thank you” from the Ticker Tape stamp set. I stamped the sentiment in pink ink and fussy cut the block outline. I adhered this sentiment below the word “hello” with 3M foam adhesive.

    Hello friends and happy Monday! I hope you all enjoyed a pleasant weekend and hopefully found a little time to do something crafty. This is Crystal Komara here with you today sharing two rainbow themed cards using a variety of products from Birch Press Design. I just love creating with rainbow colors because the end result is always happiness.

    For this first card, I used Layer A of the Lumina Layering Plates. I already had a pre-made rainbow colored alcohol ink background in my stash, so this card came together quite quickly. Gotta love that! I simply adhered the rainbow alcohol ink background to my card base – I use 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. Then I die cut Layer A of the Lumina Layering Plates from white cardstock. I adhered the intricate die over the alcohol ink background.

    I die cut the word Hello using the Big Hello dies. I die cut the shadow background from black cardstock and the top thinner layer from white cardstock. I adhered both layers together with a Tombow Dot Runner and then I adhered both layers to the card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension. Using the Ticker Tape stamp set, I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and fussy cut the sentiment strip out. I adhered the sentiment below the “hello” dies using 3M foam adhesive.

    For this next card, I used the Linear Triangle die and lots of colored cardstock strips in various bright colors to keep in line with my rainbow theme.

    My card base is 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. I also die cut the first 5 1/4″ x 4″ mat from white cardstock. I die cut the Linear Triangle from white cardstock and adhered thin strips of colored paper behind the lines. I placed the completed triangle in the lower righthand corner of my card. I die cut the large “thanks” die from black cardstock and from a piece of pre-made alcohol ink cardstock. I layered the two together with a Tombow Dot Runner and placed the large sentiment in the center of my card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension. Using the Ticker Tape stamp set, I stamped the sentiment “you inspired kindness” in Versamark ink on black cardstock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I fussy cut this sentiment and adhered it below the large “thanks” using 3M foam adhesive.

    Welcome, friends! Dee (@dilaynacar) here and today I will be sharing a clean and simple card with pops of color, perfect for any occasion!

    To get started, I cut multiple shades of colored and silver glitter cardstock (you can use any color for this step) into thin strips. I then used tape runner to adhere the strips onto a piece of white cardstock to create a background design to later die cut. I then set this aside to dry and started on the next step.

    For the background of the card, I cut a piece of heavyweight white cardstock to an A2 size base as the panel. Next, I die cut only the ‘Kinsley Layer A’ die 3 times in white cardstock and adhered the 3 onto the panel in a design that I liked, trimming off any extra.

    Next, I die cut hello and friend Big Sugar Script dies from the striped cardstock and the shadow dies in white, then adhered them together. I then mounted the word dies onto the card with foam squares. 

    To finish, I added a few silver sequins for extra sparkle! I hope you you enjoyed my post today and found some inspiration!

    Dimensional Die Cut Background with Field of Blooms Layering Dies | By Leigh Houston

    Hi, friends! I’m so happy you joined us here today. I created this dimensional die cut card using Birch Press Designs’s Field of Blooms layering dies, and I’m excited to walk you through the process!

    I started this card using Layer A of the Field of Blooms layering dies, cutting it out 3 times from 110# cardstock. I popped out all of the little flowers and leaves, and adhered one of the panels to a white card base (I saved the two extra panels for future projects). I then used liquid adhesive to stack 3 layers of tulips and 2 layers of leaves on top of each other, leaving two rows blank for the sentiment. This sounds time-consuming, but it was quite quick and really easy. To finish the tulips, I die cut some coral and hot pink colored tulips from colored cardstock and adhered them on top. I then used Copic markers to color the leaves and adhered them on as well. I wish that photography captured the fun dimension of this card!

    To create my sentiment strip, I cut a coordinating strips of pink cardstock and white cardstock and added a row of handstitching for some texture. I then stamped my “you are the best” sentiment from the You Are Awesome stamp set and die cut my sugar script “thanks” from gold mirror cardstock. And with that, this card was finished!

    Hello, friends! I’m so happy to be here today to show you how I made this card pairing the gorgeous Viola Layer Plates with stitched floral accents. This card represents everything I love about cardmaking: stitching on paper, die cutting, and simple coloring!

    I started my card by stamping this beautiful floral image from Memory Box’s All the Happiness stamp set onto 110# white cardstock. I then did some super simple copic coloring before using a piercing tool to poke holes along all of the stamped lines. I then used coordinating embroidery thread to do some simple backstitching along the image outlines. I added some floral sequins and yellow gems as well. Once this very easy and relaxing stitching was complete, I fussy cut the image (die cutting tends to smash the stitching) and set it aside.

    To create my background, I die cut layers A and B from the Viola layering dies from 80# white cardstock. I adhered them together and to a white card base using liquid adhesive. Using the same adhesive, I then adhered my floral image to the upper corner.

    To finish my card, I cut my sentiment from the “sending” and “love” sugar script dies three times from white 110# cardstock and once from gold mirror cardstock, layering them together with liquid adhesive for dimension. All there was left to do was adhere the sentiment to the card and this project was finished!

    Hello, it’s Seeka here and I hope you’re having a nice day! Today I have a card featuring the Kinsley Heart Layer dies and a terracotta and turquoise color palette that reminds me of the Southwest.

    I started off by die cutting the three layers of the heart from peach, white, and light aqua cardstock. I stacked adhered the hearts together and then set the piece aside.

    Next, I used the bottom heart layer die to cut a piece of masking paper. I adhered the heart mask onto a 4.25″ x 5.5″ piece of white cardstock and then masked off the left and right borders of the cardstock using Post-it Tape. I also masked off the small die cut holes in the heart with smaller pieces of Post-it Tape.

    Using ink blending tools, I blended on a light peach dye ink over all of the exposed area. Then, I added a darker peach along the top and the bottom of the panel, blending the darker color towards, and following the contours of, the heart.

    Next, I removed the masks and used foam tape to adhere the heart. The effort I took to mask the heart before blending left the area under, and peeking through, the heart white.

    I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Lingo Thanks stamp set, onto a piece of white cardstock and then trimmed it into a strip. I used little pieces of foam tape at the left and right ends of the strip to adhere the sentiment over the heart and onto the panel.

    To finish, I adhered the card front to a card base.

    Thanks for stopping by! Today I’m sharing a simple card made with the Field of Blooms layered die set.

    This card is simple to make by cutting three dies and stacking and adhering them together. The simplicity of the design means you can make lots of cards quickly for different occasions.

    The top layer is simple white card stock, the next two layers are orange and violet. The two colored layers create the tulip colors. When you adhere it to a green panel – like magic – the leaves become visible. I used cardstock from Memory Box – it’s the perfect weight and there are so many colors to choose from!

    You won’t want to cover your beautiful panel once it’s assembled so a simple sentiment is best. I added a strip of vellum to soften the colors and make the Lingo Thanks sentiment more visible.

    If you look close you’ll see that the panel has a debossed pattern on it too! I love the clean lines and easy way the layered designs come together.

    Welcome, friends! Dee (@dilaynacar) here and today I am sharing a bold and colorful jewel-toned card featuring the Kinsley layering die!

    To begin, I die cut each of the Kinsley die layers with three different colors of cardstock: fuchsia, turquoise, and yellow. I cut the first two layers (A & B) in each color and cut the bottom layer (C) in gold glitter cardstock, then stacked and adhered them before adhering all three to a piece of navy cardstock. I then cut off excess from the edges.

    For the sentiment, I die cut the Sugar Script Big Hello die three times in white, then stacked and adhered them together. I cut the shadow die in vellum and adhered it behind the stacked Hello for extra dimension, then adhered it to the center of the card. 

    Finally, I embellished the card with gold bobbles and mounted it onto an A2-sized top-folding card base.

    Get the Ahhhs from Viola | Using Viola Plate Layering Dies | By Renee Moran

    Hello Everyone and Welcome Back!

    The project I have for today features the Viola Layering dies from Birch Press Designs, some Memory Box cardstock and some frosted glitter paper.

    I started by die cutting the Viola Plate Layer A out of a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ panel of frosted glitter paper. I chose the white.

    After I die cut the the first panel, I die cut the B and C plates out of some darker blue and aqua color cardstocks from the Memory box Fresh Aqua and Stormy Blue Cardstock 6×6 pads. I also cut one 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ panel of a deeper blue cardstock from that same Stormy Blue Cardstock 6×6 pad to use as a back layer.

    I die my sentiment from some scraps of the deep blue and white glitter cardstocks and mounted it in the center of the panel design. It fit absolutely perfectly between the two floral motifs. I mounted everything on a top folding A2 card base.
