    Hello readers! I can’t believe we are only 11 days away from Christmas! I am proud of myself for getting all 121 of my handmade Christmas cards out (and on time) this year! Although, my friends in Austria and Germany may see their cards around Valentine’s Day. . . I tried. Today I am sharing two cards made using the Frosty Snowflake Layering dies and while the sentiment on these cards says, “be merry,” they could easily be made into winter birthday cards or holiday thank you cards by simply changing out the stamped sentiment.

    Card details:

    *Note – both of these cards were made the same way, I just changed out the color combinations.

    The base of this A2 sized card was made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. Using the Pinpoint Radial Plate die, I cut the background from the same white cardstock. Using Layer A and Layer B of the Frosty Flakes Layering Dies I cut the snowflakes from the 6″ x 6″ Twinkling Jewel Glitter pad. I adhered the snowflakes directly to the background. Using the Contempo Christmas Greetings stamp set and coordinating die, I stamped the sentiment “be merry” in either blue ink or purple ink and then I used the coordinating circle die to cut the sentiment out. I adhered the sentiment to the center of each card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension.

    Hello Everyone and Welcome Back!

    For today I will be creating two cards featuring the Christmas Mandala Stamp and Die Set! We can now combine stamping and die cutting together to achieve the look of layers!

    First, I stamped all of my images using a clear sticky ink for the embossing powder application! I chose aqua card stock and gold embossing powder as my colors for today’s cards…

    After all the images are stamped and covered with embossing powder I will heat set the images until the powder is smooth and melted. I use the coordinating die to cut out our images.

    For the first card I used three snowflakes set as the background and popped up using double sided foam squares with my sentiment set off to the side.

    The second card I stamped the tree and added a highlight with white charcoal pencil and blended with a blending stump. I grabbed my glitter cards stock and the tree die from the set to create the layer on top of my stamped image.

    Once the design panels were set onto a standard A2 size card base, I chose aqua and green fairy crystals to embellish each card!

    Hello Birch Press Design friends! This is DT member Crystal Komara here with you and it’s a mad dash to the finish line to create those holiday cards and get them out in time! Today I’m sharing a fun and festive way to use a simple holiday shadow word die as the focal point of your card.

    Card details:

    The base of this A2 sized card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. I cut a 5″ x 3 3/4″ piece of white cardstock for the first layer and matted that with a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of red cardstock. Using Layer B of the Frosty Flake Layering Set, I cut four snowflakes from white cardstock. I adhered these four snowflakes onto the white cardstock to create my background. It’s a very subtle look to allow the colorful words to POP! I die cut the word “Jolly” three times using the Jolly Honey Script Word Die. I die cut one word from gold glitter cardstock, one from red glitter cardstock and one from green glitter cardstock. All of the glitter cardstock was from the 6″ x 6″ Frosted Glitter pad. I cut the thinner shadow portion of the “jolly” from white cardstock. I layered the two “jolly” layers together with a fine-tip liquid adhesive. I then placed the three “jolly” sentiments going down the middle of the card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension.

    Hello, everyone! Toni here with you today sharing a masculine holiday card using the Classic Sentimental Wreath & Dies.

    I find masculine cards really difficult to make (where’s the glitter?? LOL) but the Memory Box Woodsy Plaid 6×6 paper made it a lot easier for me.

    I used the blue plaid as my color inspiration for the Classic Sentimental Wreath, using Distress Oxide Speckled Egg and Catherine Pooler Something Borrowed to ink it up.

    Before attaching the card front to the navy base, I roughened the edges with a Tim Holtz paper distresser.

    I then spattered the background with Peerless Watercolor Transparent Gold and Copic Opaque White, having masked the Christmas Mandala sentiment I had embossed in white.

    Lastly, I spattered the wreath with Distress Ink Spray Speckled Egg and Distress Oxide Spray Festive Berries to tie together the overall distressed look.

    Hi, friends! Dee here today sharing a fun, clean, and simple Christmas card created with the Linear Triangle die!

    I began by cutting the Linear Triangle die twice in white then multiple times in a few of my favorite colors. I adhered the white pieces to an A2-sized card base, then filled in the spaces by inlaying the strips of the other colors.

    Next, I die cut the two white tree dies from the Christmas Mandala stamp and die set (without stamping them), stacked them and adhered them to the center of the card. For the sentiment, I used the Christmas Ornament and Labels stamp set and die cut it with the coordinating banner die.

    Hello crafty readers! This is Design Team member Crystal Komara here with you today. Hopefully by now you have started making your Christmas cards or maybe even some of you are already done. And then the real overachievers have them all stamped and addressed ready to be shipped! Well. . . I’m not! I’m always late to the game. But, I’ve still got a little time to inspire you with some Birch Press Design products and this festive modern shaker card.

    Card details:

    The base of this A2 sized card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White smooth cardstock. I cut a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of red cardstock and used it as the first card layer. Using the Radial Pinpoint Cover Die, I cut the next layer from white cardstock. I cut Layers A and C of the Tranquility Layering Die from pool party cardstock and I cut Layer B of the Tranquility Layering Die from red glitter cardstock found in the Frosted 6″ x 6″ Paper Pack. *Note – I did not use the center pieces from the Tranquility Layering Dies because I used the vacant space to create a shaker card.

    I lined the circle on the back of the Tranquility Layering Die with a piece of acetate. I put about 1 tablespoon of iridescent sequins on the card before adhering the die in place over the sequins. I adhered this entire piece to the center of the card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension.

    I stamped the “joy” from the new Contempo Christmas Greetings stamp set in red ink on white cardstock. I used the coordinating Contempo Christmas Greetings die to cut out the circle. I adhered the sentiment to the lower right side of the shaker card also using 3M adhesive for added dimension. Lastly, I added a few red rhinestone embellishments for added sparkle.

    Hello and welcome! Seeka here and today I’m sharing a card featuring the Frosty Flake die set over a background made with Distress Paint.

    I started with the background. I dropped several drops of Broken China Distress Paint onto a craft mat and then sprayed the drops with a few spritzes of clean clear water. Next, I dragged a 4.25″ x 5.5″ inch piece of heavy white cardstock through the drops, covering most of the panel with paint. While the paint and panel are wet, the diluted paint moves around to create a soft and cloudy effect. I let the panel dry a bit and then dabbed it again into the paint on the craft mat to create the more distinct droplets of color.

    While the panel was drying, I used the Frosty Flake Layer die set to die cut two snowflakes. I die cut layer A from white cardstock twice and layer C from Tonic Craft Perfect Silky Sky Satin Effect Mirror cardstock twice; I skipped layer B. I adhered the layers of each snowflake together and then set them aside.

    Next, I used the Simple Joy die to create the sentiment. I cut the detail layer from the same Silky Sky cardstock, and I cut the shadow layer from white cardstock. Then I adhered the two layers together.

    To assemble the card, I adhered the two snowflakes to the background and then used foam tape to adhere the sentiment. Finally, I adhered the card front to a card base.

    Hi, friends and happy Friday! 

    Dee (@dilaynacar) here today sharing a fun snowflake card featuring one of my favorite layering dies and a background that I created using acrylic sprays and die cuts! Let’s get started!

    To begin, I took an extra background that I had previously created and cut it with the Pinpoint Radial background die (you can use any background that you like!) Next, I die cut three of the Frosty Flake snowflake die (only Layer A), adhered them to the background, and trimmed off the excess.

    Next, I cut the Big Friends Sugar Script die with the leftover acrylic-sprayed cardstock and the shadow  die in white, then adhered them to the card using foam tape. To finish, I added a sub-sentiment from my stash and some clear sequins for a little extra sparkle!

    Hi, hi! Toni here with you today. I’m sharing a couple of quick holiday cards assuming that you’re in a cardmaking panic realizing that Christmas is practically tomorrow. LOL.

    Both of my cards use the Memory Box Stunning Mandala 3D Embossing Folder on top of Glitzy Glitter cardstock.

    Now I didn’t waste all that fabulous glitter cardstock beneath. I cut the Frosty Flake Layering dies from the gorgeous purple and Honey Script Peace out of the blue (for use later).

    I used sentiments from Christmas Mandala for both as well–embossing in silver or stamping in Versafine Onyx Black.

    I must say it’s incredibly difficult to take good pics of the white background of these cards but I wanted to show you the amazing embossing of the Memory Box Stunning Mandala 3D Embossing Folder.

    The blue card uses the mandala with the texture facing out. For the purple snowflake card (look at that snowflake!–swoon), I ran the embossed card panel through my Big Shot to flatten it some and then used the reverse, debossed side. Both are so very beautiful, don’t you think?

    Hello Everyone and Welcome Back!

    For today we will be creating a Gate Fold Card featuring the Marisol Ornament and Frame layering Die Sets!

    We start with getting all our die cutting out of the way and then start laying our card stock with liquid adhesive. For two of the layers, I chose glitter card stock, liquid adhesive is perfect to make sure all our layers stay together!

    From the C Layer of the Marisol Frame Die Set there is a tab, for our card we will be cutting that tab off.

    I cut a piece of card stock to measure 5 1/2 inches x 8 1/2 inches and score along the long side at 2 1/8 inches. When these are folded in you can see a light gap between the two panels.

    I grabbed some twine out of my stash and treaded it through the holes already die cut in each panel and started to layer my card.

    I started with each frame panel on each side making sure my twine was not caught under the panel when gluing into place and then only added glue to one side of the card within the ornament opening and setting my ornament.

    You only have to then tie your twine in front and your card is ready to be sent to someone special for the holidays!
