    Hello friends, it’s almost the last day of September and we are officially in the midst of PSL season! That’s Pumpkin Spice Latte for anyone unfamiliar with the popular influencer inspired lingo. This is Design Team member Crystal Komara here today inspiring you to embrace fall (while dreading winter) and I’m sharing a simple, yet elegant card made using my favorite Birch Press Design stamp set called Pumpkin Lacework.

    Card details:

    The base of this A2 sized card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White smooth cardstock. Using Layer B of the Autumn Breeze Layering Plates, I cut the background from white cardstock. I adhered this leafy imprinted background directly to the card base.

    Using the Pumpkin Lacework stamp set, I stamped the large pumpkin in Versamark ink on orange cardstock. I heat embossed the pumpkin with white embossing powder. I used the coordinating Pumpkin Lacework die to cut the pumpkin out. I adhered the pumpkin to the lower right side of the card using 3M foam adhesive. I stamped the pumpkin stem in Versamark ink on brown cardstock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I also stamped a variety of the leaves in Versamark ink on white cardstock and heat embossed the leaves with gold embossing powder. I used the Pumpkin Lacework dies to cut all the small images out before adhering them to the pumpkin using a Tombow adhesive runner.

    I stamped the “hello autumn” sentiment from the same Pumpkin Lacework stamp set in Versamark ink on white cardstock. I heat embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder and used the coordinating die to cut the sentiment out. I adhered the sentiment to the left side of the pumpkin using 3M foam adhesive.

    Hello, crafty friends! Toni here with you today to celebrate fall, my favorite season.

    I’ve used the Enchantment Layering Dies to form the leafy design on the card. I used papers from the Sunny Orange pad: layer A = yellow, layer B = orange, layer C = off white. The green is from my stash. I love these rather retro colors!

    I left off the interior arch of the Enchantment Layering Dies which created the perfect spot to emboss the Brush Sentiment in white. I also used the Big Hugs Sugar Script dies to supplement the Brush Sentiment.

    To finish off the card I used a few Bright Jewels as well as a few of the leaves leftover from cutting the Enchantment Layering dies. I’ll be saving the other leaves for more fall cards for sure. What an easy way to create a pile of leaves!

    Hello friends! Happy Wednesday, I hope your week is going good so far. Friday is coming! This is Design Team member Crystal Komara here with you today sharing a fun way to use Layering Plate B of the Autumn Breeze Layering Plates.

    Card details:

    The base of this A2 sized card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. Using a separate sheet of this same white cardstock I die cut Layer Plate C of the Delfina Layering Plates (retired) which became the background. I cut this twice (because I was making two cards):

    Next I die cut Layer B of the Autumn Breeze Layering Plate four times, one each in red, orange, yellow and green cardstock. This would give me all the leaves I needed to complete these two cards. (*Note, I actually had enough leaves to create a third card).

    I created a circular frame to act as a guide to adhere all the leaves to. I did this by placing a smaller circle die inside of a larger one:

    Then I began to adhere the leaves to the frame in a circular pattern using a Tombow adhesive runner:

    Using the Thanks Honey Script dies and the Blessed Honey Script dies, I die cut the larger shadow sentiment from white cardstock and the thinner sentiment from gold glitter cardstock using the 6″ x 6″ Holiday Glitter pad.

    Hello crafty readers and happy 1st of September! For those of us who love fall (ME ME ME!) then let the pumpkin spice season begin! If you’re still sippin’ on your summer ‘ritas, no shade here, you do you! But, I’m full speed ahead to apple pies, sweater weather and all things fall. This is Design Team member Crystal Komara here with you today sharing a fun (and mildly Halloween inspired) card using the Autumn Breeze Layering plates:

    Card details:

    The base of this A2 sized card was made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. Using two out of three layers of the Autumn Breeze Layering Plates, I used a piece of garden green cardstock as the bottom layer (in lieu of Layer B). For Layer C I die cut the plate using pumpkin orange cardstock. Layer A was cut from basic black cardstock. You can see my photo below for all three layers:

    I adhered all three layers together using a Tombow adhesive tape runner before gluing the three layers down to the card base. I cut a 3″ circle from vellum cardstock, cutting of the right side just a bit before adhering it to the card. Using the Big Thanks Sugar Script dies, I die cut the large shadow sentiment from garden green cardstock and the thinner sentiment from gold glitter cardstock from the 6″ x 6″ Holiday Glitter Pad. I adhered the two layers together with Tombow adhesive before adhering the enticement sentiment strip to the card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension.

    On a thin strip of white cardstock I stamped the sentiment “for your friendship” in Memento Tuxedo black ink. This sentiment is from the Lingo Thanks stamp set. I adhered this sentiment strip below the large “thanks” using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension.

    Hello, friends!

    Dee (justcallmedee.com) here, and I am back today with another fall-themed card using some of my favorite dies! This square card features the Linear Triangle and Autumn Breeze Plate dies! Let’s dive right in! 

    First, I trimmed down a piece of white cardstock down to a 4.25” x 4.25” size. Next, I die cut two of the Linear Triangle’s and adhered one to each corner, covering the entire panel. 

    For the leaves, I die cut layer B from Autumn Breeze Layer die set and used only the negative pieces (in this case, the leaves) to ink blend! I blended each pink, orange, and green with small ink dangers and then set them aside to dry.

    Before assembling the leaves, I first die cut the Big Thanks Sugar Script die and shadow in white, then stacked and adhered them together. I die cut it once more in gold and adhered that over the top. 

    To begin assembling, I adhered the ‘thanks’ to the center then added the leaves with foam adhesive.  Finally, I added gold metallic pearls and mounted the card onto a 4.25” x 4.25” top folding card base.

    Hello crafty friends! It’s Amanda from Twiddler’s Nook popping in with a festively, fun fall-themed card for you today. We got a little taste of fall at home this week and I’m so ready for pumpkins and leaves changing and all the things!

    I knew that I was using the awesome Autumn Breeze layering set so I started looking at what I wanted my layers to be. Since the bottom layer shows mostly leaves I did some ink smooshing on watercolor paper with a green tombow marker and lots of layering.

    Remember, if you heat your paper in bewteen layers, you will get those cool imperfections and lines. If it’s still wet, it just flows together smoothly. Both can be beautiful, it’s all about what you are trying to achieve.

    Then for my middle layer, I chose a plaid paper from the Memory Box Madras Plaid paper pad. I love the gold foil lines in this plaid paper. It’s just gorgeous!

    Next, I die cut the top layer from kraft cardstock and used a blending brush with brown dye ink to ink up all the pumpkin openings. It just gives it some depth and interest. I really love the effect it had on the whole card.

    Last, I pulled out the Pumpkin Lacework stamp set and stamped a sentiment on the same kraft cardstock with brown ink. Now it’s time to assemble everything!

    Sometime the watercolor paper can ripple so I heated up my laminator and ran it through a few times. This always helps flatten it out and makes it easier to adhere to other elements.

    I used liquid glue to adhere the layers together and to a white card base. Then I plopped a few acrylic blocks on top and left it to dry for a bit.

    Once they were dry, I added foam squares to the back of my sentiment and popped it in place on the lower right side. I really love these pumpkins so I chose a space that would cover up the least of those.

    Hello, friends! Dee here and today, I’m sharing a clean and simple fall-themed card that features the Classic Sentimental Wreath stamp and die set combined with the Petal Triangle layer dies. Let’s get started!

    To begin, I cut down a piece of ivory cardstock to 4” x 5.24” then stamped and gold heat embossed a sentiment from the Classic Sentimental Wreath stamp set. 

    Next, I cut the Petal Triangle layer dies (A, B, and C) in the same ivory-colored cardstock, stacked and adhered them together, then mounted them onto the panel with foam adhesive. 

    For the leaves, I stamped each in three different colors then tucked and adhered them behind the Petal Triangle layers. 

    To finish, I mounted the completed panel to an A2-sized, top-folding card base!

    Welcome, everyone! Dilay here, and I’m back today to share another fall-themed card with a clean and simple design that is perfect for the season!  Let’s get started! 

    I began by cutting a solid piece of white cardstock down to an A2 (4.25” x 5.5”) size for the base of my card. Next, I die cut layers A, B and C from the ‘Autumn Breeze’ plate set, again in white cardstock, and adhered layer A and C onto the base.

    Then, I brush-colored the leaf cutouts from panel B using Distress Oxide inks diluted with a little water – this technique produces a distressed look and feel once dry, mimicking real leaves (I chose to use non-traditional fall colors, but any colors would look great for this step!) I then used a brush to splatter silver paint onto the leaves for an added touch. I set those aside to dry while I worked on the next step. 

    For the sentiment, I chose something that would blend in nicely with the background and allow the leaves to ‘pop’.  I die cut ‘Honey Script Thanks’ word die three times in white cardstock and the shadow once in white cardstock and once in vellum, and stacked them together using liquid glue. I then adhered the completed sentiment onto the center of the base.

    Once the leaves were dry, I tucked a few under both ends of the sentiment (you’ll have some leaves leftover for a another card). To finish, I added white iridescent rhinestones throughout the design to give it some sparkle!

    Hi, crafty friends! Dilay Nacar here from JustCallMeDee.com and I am so excited to be sharing my first card as a member of the Birch Press Design Team! It’s truly an honor to be sharing my creations and today, I’ll be going over a fall themed ‘Give Thanks’ card that I created using some of my favorite dies and stamps!

    To begin, I made the leaves using Layer B from ‘Autumn Breeze Plate Layer Set’ die and Bristol Smooth cardstock, then colored them various fall colors using the ‘smooshing’ technique with Distress Oxide inks. I set these aside to dry while I worked on the background.

    For this layer, I wanted a clean white background with layered detail, so I used the ‘Petal Triangle Layer Set’. I die cut each layer (A, B, and C) in white heavyweight cardstock then adhered them together using liquid adhesive. I prepared 3 sets of these triangles – one for each of the sides and one for the top of the card – then used liquid adhesive to adhere them onto an A2 sized, white 100 lb cardstock base.

    Next, I used the ‘Pumpkin Lacework’ stamp and die to make the main image. I heat embossed the pumpkin stamp and stem stamp using a copper embossing powder. I cut out the image using the coordinating die and adhered it onto the background.

    Once leaves were dry, I placed them along the bottom of the pumpkin image (and one on the stem) then made a bow using a piece of twine and adhered it onto the stem.

    For the sentiment, I used the same ‘Pumpkin Lacework’ stamp and die set and heat embossed it using a fine gold embossing powder. I used foam tape to adhere it along the bottom of the pumpkin.

    Finally, to complete my card, I used off-brand gold flat back bobbles and placed them throughout the pumpkin pattern.

    Hello everyone! It’s Amanda from Twiddler’s Nook and I appreciate you stopping by today. I’ve got a really pretty fall themed thanks card to share with you today. Let’s get crafting!

    I blending distress oxide inks on an A2 panel using Aged Mahogany, Rusty Hinge and Carved Pumpkin.

    I spritzed it with water and flicked a bunch of gold watercolor on the panel. Then, because I’m impatient, I hit it with my heat tool to speed up the drying process.

    Next, I die cut the inked panel with Autumn Breeze Plate A and a gold mirrored panel with Plate C. I also cut a brown piece of cardstock down to A2 size.

    When I layered them all together the brown looked really flat showing through so I decided to try inking up the colored cardstock. I used Ground Espresso and Gathered Twigs distress oxides. I spritzed it with water and didn’t like the look so I inked up over the top of it. I love the versatility of this!

    I used liquid glue to adhere my layers together and put clear blocks on top to help them dry flat. While they were drying I die cut the Thanks Honey Script from the same gold mirror and brown as the rest of the card. The words are cut 4 times and glued together with liquid glue.

    For a little dimension and interest I popped the sentiment up with foam squares and adhered the whole panel to a white card base.

    Here’s a different look at all that gold in the light. I just love the shimmer and shine from the mirrored cardstock and the metallic watercolor. They are beautiful together!
